3rd Edition of Jesus Published

In August Magnes Press, the publishing house of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, published the 3rd edition of the late Professor David Flusser's classic biography of Jesus. The book's title is simply Jesus. Before he died (on September 15, 2000) Flusser managed to make corrections to the book's 2nd edition and to write an additional chapter, an exquisite portrait of Herodias' daughter Salome (chapter 21). The new edition of the book is 324 pages in length and was written in collaboration with Flusser's student, Dr. Steven Notley. In the book's Preface Flusser explained his purpose for writing the book: "What I have set out to do here is to illuminate and interpret, at least in part, Jesus' person and opinions within the framework of this time and people. My ambition is simply to serve as a mouthpiece for Jesus' message today."
