David and Josa Bivin's 25th Annual Speaking Tour
For twenty-five consecutive years David and Josa have traveled from Israel to Europe, Canada and the United States to teach Hebrew, give lectures and conduct workshops for fellow Christians. This year's tour features workshops in England and the United States on a theme that is central in the teaching of Jesus: "Repentance."
Among the passages to be covered in the two-day workshop:
- "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes" (Matt 11:21 = Luke 10:13).
- "The men of Nineveh will arise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here" (Matt 12:41 = Luke 11:32).
- "And he [the first son] answered, 'I will not'; but afterward he repented and went...the tax collectors and the harlots believed him; and even when you saw it, you did not afterward repent and believe him" (Matt 21:28-32).
- "And Jesus answered them, 'Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick; I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance'" (Luke 5:31-32).
- "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered thus? I tell you, No; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish" (Luke 13:2-3).
- "There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance" (Luke 15:7).
